I’ve been sewing since about 2008 when I snagged an old Singer from Goodwill. Since then I’ve slowly ramped up to the point where I’m making almost all of my own clothes and some things for family and friends as well. In 2012 or so I did some freelance work, though I’ve since found that the prices I can charge are generally not worth my time; there’s just no competing with industrial production even for bespoke work.

Thus, this section of my portfolio is no longer aimed at showcasing my skills as such. Instead, I hope to document the design and production process of some of my more interesting work because such things are generally not well documented on the internet or elsewhere. This is especially true for menswear and even more so for menswear which is not utterly conventional in design.

I’ll be rebuilding this section slowly over the next month or so.
